William Thomas Lecky (Bill) was born on October 20th, 1941, and passed away at home peacefully on June 7th, 2024.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen, along with his brother, Steve, and his son, Bill Jr. (Heather), and their extended families. Also his brother-in-law Wayne (Linda) Wetten, and their daughters Kim and Steph, with whom he spent many happy times, watching them grow into thoughtful and wonderful young women.
Bill grew up in Port Alberni and he joined the Army at an early age. He worked for a vending company for many years and then as a Traffic Controller, before he retired to the good life.
He loved the outdoors and fishing and hunting with family and friends. He will be missed by all.
Bill did not want a service. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the BC Cancer Agency.
