Born on April 14, 1925 in Victoria and died on December 10, 2005 from complications following surgery. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Winsome; his daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine (John), Margaret (Neil), Susan (George); grandchildren, Angus, Cameron, Micah, Gabrielle, Stephen, Stephanie and Edward. He will also be missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Jean. Don attended Monterey, Oak Bay High, Victoria College and UBC. He taught at Creston Valley High School and Oak Bay High, finishing his career with the Ministry of Education. Don enjoyed travelling, golfing, gardening and hiking. His sense of humour and his friendly interest in people will be remembered by all who knew him. Most of all, Don valued the time spent with his immediate and extended family.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 3:00 pm at MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets. Reception to follow at McCall’s. Flowers are gratefully declined.
