Lori Stocks and Mark Ranson Having only met Bill and Kay in the Oak Bay Marina Coffee shop a year or so ago we were sad to hear of his passing.
A chat about his snazzy socks then lead to conversations about sailing. Next time we saw them he had brought us a copy of his book, which we will cherish. After that we saw them many times having their coffee and brightening up the coffee shop! He invited us to one of the Happy Hours at his new digs and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
His smile will be missed.
Our condolences to his family.Lori Stocks and Mark Ranson

Tony Jos So sad to hear of Bill’s passing. Such a gentleman, always with a big smile. I enjoyed talking cars with him (especially that Quattroporte) and have many fond memories of him in the real estate business.

Andre and Kelly It was with sadness that we learned of Bill’s passing. Though we haven’t known him very long, he was a neighbour we were always happy to cross paths with in the halls of Hampshire House. His bright and curious disposition always led to a satisfying exchange of updates. The few times we met socially his stories of past adventures were always spellbinding. He was also an excellent and appreciative customer for the fare and beverages offered when he visited. We will miss his sunny presence in our midst. We offer our condolences to Kay and to Pat and the family.

Joyce Gillespie I was saddened to learn of Bill’s passing. My condolences to Kay, Pat, Julie, Jennifer and his extended family. Many, many happy memories of the Hapgood family when they lived in Ontario. Bill and I used to jog together. He called me ‘the lady he runs around with.’ Always a great sense of humour. He will be greatly missed. Sail off into the final sunset, Bill. ❤️. Much Love, Joyce

Arla I am so sad to hear of Bill’s passing… My deepest condolences to you all.
Dear Kay, we were so sad to learn of dear Bill’s passing after a life so well led, a huge loss indeed. We so enjoyed times spent together and treasure his book . Shelagh described his beautiful celebration of life held last weekend, the setting, tables and singer, she said he would have been thrilled. Much love, Carol and Dick
