It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of W.D Kello Wilson.
Kello passed away the morning of Saturday December 30th at the age of 92. We would like to thank the VIHA Saanich and Esquimalt care aids, and the amazing staff at Victoria general Hospital for their care in his final days.
Nothing meant more to Kello than his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 66 years Mary, his three children Robert, Elizabeth and John (Valerie). His five grandchildren Travis (Meaghan), Andrew (Britney), Kelsey (Ryan), Samantha (Taylor), and Sophia, as well as his eight great grandchildren Cameron, Brooklyn, Madilyn, John James, Davis, Henley, Brooks, and Emilia.
As the founder of Wilson’s Transportation Ltd., Kello also leaves behind his legacy of being a respected businessman who cared about his community, dedicated staff, and his busses or “his babies” as he called them. A legacy that will continue through the 43-year-old business that remains family owned and operated today.
He will forever be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends, his generosity, his hard work, passion for business and community, and his witty humorous catch phrases that anyone who knew him grew to love.
May you rest in peace, reclining in your lazy boy in Heaven.
A Service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church – 4040 Nelthorpe Street Victoria, BC on Saturday January 13th, 2024 at 12 noon with a reception to follow in Sacred Heart Hall directly below the church.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Heidi Beckerleg Dearest Elizabeth and family, your dad was such a nice man and I enjoyed meeting him several times over the years with you. There is never a “good” time to lose a parent, no matter their age or our age. He will leave an aching space that will take time to heal. Always missed but never forgotten. Much love you you, your mom and brothers and extended families. Xo

John Wilson Thank you for all you did for me and our family Dad. You will always be my hero and I will continue to try to be more like you every day. You were always humble, friendly, brave, strong but most of all kind to everyone. I selfishly miss you so much already but know you are in a better place beside Grandma and Grandpa.
Love you forever Dad ❤️xoxo
My sincere condolences to all the Wilson family. I only met him briefly but could tell he was a lovely human! And loved & respected by many!
