Wanda Sobaszek (nee Kurek) died peacefully of natural causes on October 14, 2021 in Victoria, BC. She was born on March 31, 1933 in Łazory, Poland. Wanda was predeceased by her husband, Edward, in 1971. She is survived by her children Jerzy (Grazyna), Barbara (Piotr) Szczachor and Dorota (Trevor) Peacock; grandchildren Michael (Ashleigh), Vanessa (Alex), Robert, Anna and Oskar; great grandchildren Teddy and Charlie. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
Wanda was a talented seamstress and was an active member of her church. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her friends and family.
A Funeral Service will be held at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 2:30 pm.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Glengarry Hospital who cared for Wanda for the past year.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of B.C.
