It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of the most wonderful man, Walter Large.  He was born in Toronto, Ontario  April 7, 1934. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 has changed our lives forever.

Walt/Dad/Grandad was our rock, mentor and best friend. A devoted husband to Dorothy for 65 years, an amazing Dad to Brett (PJ), Viola, Jody (Rudi), Laura (Pete), and Kelly (Mark). He was also an unbelievable grandad and great grandad to Corey, (Sandra, Everly), Jayden (Shelbie) Sean (Paula, Kaiden, Jarryn, Sawyer, Macyn, Daxton), Ryan, (Kristi, Layton), Kieran, Jessika (Kai, Ophelia, Aurora), Joshua, Jacob, (Jordan), Craig (Sidney), Andrew (Mariah), Adam, Bria, Hannah, (Michael, Lily).

Walt also leaves his brothers Earl and Leigh and their families and family members in Ontario and Boston. He was predeceased by his parents Leigh Sr. and Marion and his brother Rob. Walt, Earl, Rob and Leigh, Brothers, Business Partners, and Forever Best Friends.

He met Dorothy, the love of his life in high school, they fell in love and their love story grew from there. Dad’s priority has always been his family. Five children, thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren. No one could have had a more wonderful man in their lives than we did.

Summer days with his family at their home on Prospect Lake, Dads favourite place to be.  Watching his grandchildren grow up at the lake was what gave him the greatest pleasure.  Family trips to Maui since the late 60’s; Happy Hour at Mulligans, swims at Elua, walks on the beach will always be best memories for us all.

 “FAMILIES ARE FOREVER

We love you

Walt/Dad/Grandad……❤️
