TOMPKINS, Velma (Val) nee Price, passed away peacefully at Oak Bay Lodge on July 12, 2008. Predeceased by Robert (Bob) Tompkins (1999). Val was born and raised in Victoria and worked in the Hospital Insurance department for 5 years then decided to change careers and become a full time homemaker when she was pregnant with her first child. She will be lovingly remembered by her family Darlene (Doug) and Shean, Rob (Shelly) and (Barb) Jenny, Sarah, Denise, Brian (Jill) and Tom, Troy, Shannon, Sandy and Ryan, Wayne (Lorraine) and Brandon, Justin. She will also be missed by many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at McCall Bros. Family Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Sts. on Thursday July 17, at 10am.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Oak Bay Lodge for their kindness, care and support.
