Pat , I was saddened to hear of Terry’s passing. I will always remember him from the first time I met him in the ICU and then on various units. He always had a smile on his face and something great to pass on. Terry never complaint through all his hospital visits, it was a great pleasure to know him and also to care for him.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

As one of his many caregivers, when Terry was getting used to having strangers come and go dealing with his everyday care.I could see how easily one could become frustrated with the simple daily things we all take for granted. Bathing, bathroom privacy, all needed assistance. Terry taught me many things during those times, especially how to take him to the men’s washrooms at shopping centers without any embarrasment. We had a lot of good times preparing recipes, etc and lunches at Fridays, or with his Rogers’cable friends.
We remained e-mail friends over the last years and I will definitely miss his humour and encouragement during my own illness and handicaps.
Pat,Sean,Catherine,it was not an easy time for you either. Watching your husband and Dad struggle so and continue to live a normal life.Terry knew this and loved you for it as you loved him.
The Lord could have taken him home 15 years ago but saw fit to keep him here ,so we could all learn from grace, dignity and humour.
