Cowan – Stephen
Stephen Cowan of Brentwood Bay, BC and Marco Island FL passed away peacefully Monday, November 8 in Victoria, BC. following a severe stroke. He is survived by Mildred, his wife of 60 years, his son John, daughters Susan (John) McDonald and Pamela (John) Marchant, 4 grandchildren Sarah, Duncan, Adrian and Meghan and 5 great grandchildren. His youngest son Ian predeceased him in 1999. Steve was born in Toronto on October 22, 1921 and graduated from University of Toronto in 1944 with a gold medal in Engineering.
He worked for Domtar Chemicals in Toronto and Montreal for 25 years in various senior roles and was President of Domfer Metal Powders, Montreal for 20 years. Steve was an avid boatsman and was a longterm member of the Baie d’Urfe Yacht Club.
Memorial Service at 1 pm Friday November 12, 2004 at Sequoia Gardens, 4665 Falaise Dr.
