Sharon died peacefully and ready to join her parents and beloved grandmother in heaven after a courageous battle with cancer on February 3, 2023 in Victoria BC. She was born on March 23, 1949 in Lestock, Saskatchewan.
She will be missed dearly by her husband Gordon, children Joe, Jennifer, and Mike, and grandchildren, AJ, Logan, and Tavia, along with so many other dear family members and friends.
Gord and Sharon were married in 1975 and over the many years of marriage enjoyed working together on several construction businesses, traveling the world, and being actively involved in the day to day lives of their children and grandchildren. Sharon loved being with her grandchildren, doing crafts and playing board games or cards. She loved beating Gord at cards and going for walks with him at their winter home in Mesa, AZ. She was also a gifted artist painting beautiful oil and acrylic landscapes and stills. She was always on the go, meeting up with friends, taking an art class, or spending time in her garden. We will miss her smile, her drive, and the generous love she had for everyone she met.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at her parent’s farm this summer with her immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Victoria Hospice Foundation who lovingly cared for Sharon until the moment she passed on. www.victoriahospicefoundation.org.

Linda Rachar Gord and family, our deepest condolences on the passing of Sharon. I particularly remember all our fun Care Closet days at Millwoods Assembly. We had so much fun together and Sharon was always so much fun to work alongside! We had many laughs together…
I only found out recently that you had moved to Victoria.
May you feel God’s presence in the days, weeks, months ahead…. Gord and Linda Rachar

Linda Artymowicz and family Dear Gordon and family. I was very surprised to hear that Sharon passed away. I had been thinking of Sharon lately wondering if I would see her at the Kowalchuk family reunion. Sharon and I are the same age. I spent a few summer holidays at the farm, she was my maid of honour in 1973 we went to San Francisco in 1970 and our family’s visited often. Sharon had the best Barbie doll collection and many board games which really impressed me. My very deepest sympathy to all of you. May the joys you knew and the times you shared help comfort you. Be assured that loving thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. May God bless you and keep you in his care. I was wondering if the private family funeral included cousins? You can reply to me at artymowicz47@icloud.com cousin Linda

Anne Winniski (Olinik) Thinking of you with sincere sympathy and prayer.
I just found about Sharon’s passing today and I want o express my condolences to Gordon and family. Sharon was a level headed person who kept us in check in Edmonton way back in the early 70’s. Those were the crazy days with lots of good memories of Sharon.
