CLARK, Ross Milton, passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on April 25, 2009. Ross was born in Uxbridge Township, Ontario on August 30, 1925. He will be sadly missed by his loving companion of 10 years, May Chow, her children and grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Ralph, daughter-in-law, Carol, granddaughter, Melanie, grandson, Randy, and great grandchildren and was predeceased by his wife Wanda. Ross lived most of his life in Ontario with his wife and moved to Victoria in 1995. He was a proud veteran who served in the Second World War with the Queen’s Own Rifle of Canada. Ross was a soft spoken and gentle man who loved nature and exploring North America in his camper van with his companion at his side. He was an active participant at the Juan de Fuca Senior Centre and the Hillside Walking Club. Ross’ quick wit and wonderful sense of humour will be missed by all.
A Memorial Service will held at Gateway Baptist Church, 898 Royal Oak Avenue on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Broadmead Lodge for their kind care over the past year. Our condolences to the family and close loved ones of Ross.
We wern’t close to Ross. but his son Ralph and I have known each other a quite a few years. Ross used to come into our store from time to time and we would have a coffee and talk about motor homeing.
