Robert Leigh Jeffs (Leigh) passed away in Victoria, British Columbia on March 15, 2023. Leigh was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia on August 12, 1947.

Leigh is survived by his partner Judy and his daughters Leeza (Craig) and Caralyn (D’Arcy). Leigh leaves behind his grandchildren Ali, Liam, Grey, Cy, and Edie, along with his brother Rick (Susan), sister Roberta (Larry, 2010), brother Bill (Maggie), and sister Madeline (Alistair). Leigh said goodbye to many nieces and nephews and a group of friends and extended family who have stayed close since childhood. Leigh was predeceased by his father (Robert Conlin Jeffs, 2002) and his mother (Marjorie Elaine Jeffs, 2014).

Entrepreneurial to the end, Leigh had many business ventures. He began working alongside his father in Nanaimo, before starting Jeffs Construction with his brother Rick. Leigh lived and worked in Maui, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Nanoose Bay, and Victoria. He was a deal-maker, developer, landlord, hotelier, commercial builder, venture capitalist, apple tart baker, and pharmaceutical packaging manufacturer.

Leigh was athletic, avidly jogging into his seventies, later embracing gardening when his mobility declined. He was an enthusiastic chef and a light-hearted joker. Well-liked and easy-going, Leigh was kind, helpful, and accepting of others. He will be missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
