After a long and courageous battle with cancer, it is with profound sadness that the family of Peter James Glover announces his peaceful passing at the age of 84, on June 15, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Peter will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Beverly, children Kerrie, Julian (Sarah), stepson Clay (Jennifer) Grandsons Ryan, Max, Grand daughters Hallie and Zoe, sisters Jen and Kate and their families in England. As well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins and close friends. Peter was predeceased by his youngest daughter Joanne, his mother Emily and father Norman, and step son Mitchel.

Peter was born in Pill, England. He served with the National Service as a tank gunner with the 3rd Dragoon Guards after WWII. He emigrated to Canada with his young family and lived in Calgary for 20 years before moving to Victoria, B.C. in the 80’s where he continued his long and successful career in Construction.

Retirement brought Peter more free time and with the addition of grandchildren, he took his love of wood and cars and began creating
wooden toys. This small beginning quickly branched out to 20 years of Markets, Craft Fairs, and incredible commissioned pieces which he has mailed all over the world. His amazing attention to the tiniest detail, in his model cars and trucks resulted in requests for items worldwide.

Peter was known for his fine woodworking skills, his beautiful gardens and his intense love and commitment to his family.

The family would like to send a special thank you to his compassionate oncologist- Dr. Ksienski, who offered him Immune Therapy which gave him an additional five years. We are also grateful to all the staff of the Palliative Care Program for their kindness and compassion.

A Celebration of Life was held on Tuesday June 27, 2023 at  2:00 pm, in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens.
