Comforted by so many cherished memories include 4 daughters: Marietta (Greg), Virginia, Susanna & Tessa (Steffen), 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren & many Crofton family members in Canada, brother Michael (Mila) & 2 dear childhood friends Mary & Jill in England.
Patricia was “Little Pat” to our father “Big Pat”, Patrick (1935-2017). Theirs was a love of the ages: meeting in London & engaged within the month, marrying in 1958 & building a busy life & family together over almost 60 years, the best of friends and a true example of a partnership that permitted each their passions. Mum was a creative spirit and loved a good laugh, she was devoted to her family and animals. A weaver, spinner, author, fundraiser, volunteer, sculptor, gardener & avid reader of biographies, she was also an ardent fan of Murder She Wrote, Dogs with Jobs and All Creatures Great and Small. She loved life on the farm surrounded by her sheep & aviary. She would be the first to say she lived a very happy life.
We would like to thank all the wonderful care workers ( Mary, Trish, Gloria & June) and friends who nurtured the spark of her soul, even as she progressed through the journey of Alzheimer’s disease, you were a blessing to us all. We like to imagine Pat & Pat together again, walking through the fields of BallyMurry Farm followed by their menagerie of beloved pets. Enjoy the peace of togetherness because, after all, one day we will all be coming home again!
All things bright & beautiful,
All creatures great & small,
All things wise & wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

Virginia Rego (nee Jackson) To the girls,
Your parents and my parents had a friendship that was supportive and spoke of kinship. My memories are most keen from your days at Prospect Lake and what fun we had playing sardines in the big house, and of course enjoying all that your family shared- hay rides, swimming, riding. Thank you to your parents for creating community and making all feel welcome. Thoughts are with you all at this time in remembrance of your lovely mother.

Allan Neale I was sorry to hear about Patricia’s passing. I was a long time admirer of both Patrick and Patricia — such a splendid example of two kindred spirits forming the best of marital partnerships. Big Pat and Little Pat were a blessing to our community and all those whose lives they touched. Their spirit will live on in the lives of their daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In those whose hearts they have blessed, they will live again. Sincere condolences to the Crofton family.

William and Grace Draper A godmother to our Debbie, we note her passing with sadness but also with the joy that comes from knowing she is at rest. Her journey is over but the light of kindness she shared with family and friends will always be cherished.

Tanis McNally-Dawes Hi Susanna, I just read of your mom’s passing and wanted to let you know that I’m thinking of you and your family. She was a lovely lady and always so welcoming. I have fond memories of visiting you at the farm at Prospect Lake and the kids playing in the surrounding property. In fact, that came to mind immediately and I assume was surely a wonderful place to grow up.
May she always be in your hearts.
Take care.

Sara Neely I send my condolences on the passing of your dear Mum, with many happy memories of the Crofton family from my days at Norfolk House School. Your parents were tremendous cheerleaders for each of their daughters and for the school over the many years of that association with the NHS community. And they were both such fun to be with! Sara
