SMITH, Nicola Jean May 13, 1960 October 31, 2007 With aching hearts we regret to announce the unexpected passing of our beloved, beautiful daughter, Nicola, on October 31. Deeply loved and missed by her parents, Jean and Roger and her loving sister Naomi. Nicola was born in England and was brought to Canada by her parents in 1964 along with her younger sister Naomi. Raised in West Vancouver she attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart and worked in nursing and ward clerk positions in different hospitals and care homes. Nicola had a marvelous gift, she could find laughter and beauty wherever she looked and spread this gift around to others. An avid bird lover, the birds of James Bay will never be the same without her. Her bright, sparkling smile and lovely voice will be missed by many. A thanksgiving for Nicola’s life will be held on Friday, 16 November at St John’s Anglican Church, 3295 Cobble Hill Road, Cobble Hill, BC at 1 p.m., with a reception following.
