Nasib Kaur Baidwan passed away on January 13, 2022 in Victoria, B.C. She was born on February 4, 1930 in Nardu, Punjab, India.
With great sadness we place this obituary for our Bibi. Bibi grew up in Patiala, Punjab daughter of Desraj Singh Sandhu and Kishan Kaur Sandhu (nee Punia). She married our Dad, Harbant Singh Baidwan in 1948 and later settled in Patiala, Punjab. They immigrated to Victoria in 1965 with three young girls.
Bibi was a kind, devoted, soft spoken, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and matriarch of the family.
She is predeceased by: Husband, Harbant Singh Baidwan and Grandsons, Maninder Singh Bains and Ravinder Singh Bains
Bibi will be greatly missed by daughters, Daljit Kaur Bains (Jasbir Singh Bains), Baljit Kaur Tamana (Sadhu) and their children Jeevan (Mandeep), Sonia (Herdeep) and Shane and five great grandchildren, Kamaljit Kaur Lider (Manjit) and their children Ryan and Sean; sons, Dhanwant Singh Baidwan and children Ria, Keerat and Gurvir and Tarjeet Singh Baidwan and children Yasmin and Joevan. She will also be remembered by numerous nephews and nieces in India, Surrey, Abbotsford, Calgary, Toronto, New York, California and Washington State.

A Funeral Service was held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
A religious ceremony followed the funeral service at 1210 Topaz Avenue.

Professor Ranvinder Singh Sandhu We are very sorry to learn about the sad demise of our dear sister. It reminds me of my association with her since 1960. We also visited her in 1992 and in 2007. Last month I had the opportunity to talk to her and I promised to visit her in July 2022 but God had some other plans. She was a very nice and noble soul. We pray the departed soul may rest in peace. I am sure her values will keep alive through her descendants. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
