Charlie Velikovsky Hello Bob. This message is from Charlie Velikovsky, the electrician. I was so sorry to see the notice of your mother’s passing over. She was a wonderful lady and amazed everyone with her vitality. Back in the 1980’s when I built a Dodge maxi-van into a camper van, I did a lot of business with her. Through the years I’ve enjoyed watching your family grow. You are a chip off the old block – hard-working like your mom. My parents came in to the store a lot as well – Mila and Charlie Velikovsky. They have both passed now. I know you will miss her dearly. My thoughts are with you.

Laureen (Patterson) Van Der Meulen I wanted to pass on my condolences to the family of Muriel Fennell.
Dear Bob and Joanne: Henry and I were sorry to read about your Mom passing away. She was a neat lady. I remember her well from going into the store on the highway and also going to your place as a kid up by Claremont. Henry was the one in more recent years that would see her in a work capacity. I guess we thought that we would see her forever standing behind the counter at Fennell’s.
Sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you.
Henry and Laureen (Patterson) Van Der Meulen

Sherri I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I have many fond childhood memories of visiting ‘Auntie Muriel’ and ‘Grampa Dynes’ above the shop!! Though I haven’t seen her since I was about 5/6 (28 years ago) I always smile as I drive by the Fennell’s Place.

Jo-Anne & Neil Vickers We are sorry to hear of Muriel’s passing and offer our deepest sympathy to the family. She was a grand lady…one of the finest, in our eyes. Many moons ago, and many canopy deals ago, Neil always found it a pleasure to deal with Bob & Muriel, and the boys, on the “hill”. Every time we pass by that spot on the highway, we reminisce about “Fennells”.
Neil and Jo-Anne Vickers.

Linda Maas Mom called about your Mom. Our thoughts are with you. It is never easy to loose a parent at any age.
Love Linda and Mic
Hope this reaches you. My name is Barbara Berry. My Mom is/was Pat Kress. She too passed away last spring. She would often mention ” i must get over and see Muriel”. Dementia prevented this.. Their friendship goes back to the 1940’s. My reason for contacting you is I have found 2 lovely photos of your Mom in amongst my mom’s things. Last year actually, I put them away and promptly forgot them. Then came upon them recently . If someone would like them please let me know at 604 526 913. One is signed by your mom 1944 and the other is a wedding pic. Sincerely Barbara Berry, New Westminster BC
