It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Moo Goon Chan Shee Lee on Sunday, July 6, 2008. "PoPo" was born December 10, 1910 in the village of Loungdo, Guangdong Province, China. She lived half her life in China before she immigrated to Canada in 1958. PoPo is predeceased by her husband, Gum Yaw Chow ; two daughters Sit Jung and Sit Young. PoPo is survived by her two sons, Pak Pang Chow (Vancouver) and Bo Liang Zhou (China) and daughter Sit Mui Pang (Victoria) and her sister, Mrs. Yook Wong ( San Francisco). PoPo has 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 11, 2008 and will be followed by interment at Royal Oak Burial Park. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Chinatown Care Centre, 555 Herald Street, V8W 1S5 where PoPo spent many happy days. Heartfelt thanks go to the staff of VCCC and to Doctor H. Lee.
