WADSWORTH, Merle (Susan Laura) (nee Clarkson) Merle slipped away peacefully with family at her side on September 28, 2008 in Victoria, B.C. She was born on January 20, 1927 in Willmar, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by her husband Keith in 1993, Merle is survived by her children Daryl (Madlen), Vicki Bishop, Sharon (John Fisher), Kim (Phil) Lessard, and Kerry (Janice Nakamura). She will be missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Merle and Keith married in 1947. They raised their family and made many wonderful friends at a series of RCAF bases across Canada settling in Courtenay in 1968. Merle worked at CFB Comox as the secretary to the 442 Squadron Commander. She retired in 1985. Merle enjoyed her garden, her crafts and summertime camping but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She will be best remembered for her warm smile, her generosity and her sense of humour. The family wishes to thank the skilled, caring and supportive staff at the Royal Jubilee Hospital Intensive Care Unit and Royal Three.
