After a lengthy struggle with her health, it is with sadness (and yet relief) that our loving mother is finally at rest and will hopefully reunite in the beyond with her high school sweetheart and true love, Blaine (predeceased 2005). She will be missed and fondly remembered by her children: Rick (wife Laurie), Darrin, and Trudy, as well as leaving a legacy behind with grandchildren: Nicole, Megan, Jonathan, and Kelly, as well as great-grandsons: Blair and Dawson.
Maureen was born in Milden, SK and is predeceased by her parents Ernest and Grace and brother Robert while being survived by her other brother Garry (wife Donna). She was a hardworking, self-employed bookkeeper (BMW Business Support) until her retirement 10 years ago. She loved the ocean, boating, animals (especially monkeys), and her favourite colour was yellow. A sweet, kind woman with a huge heart for all, Maureen loved living in Victoria/Sidney and believed it was like living in the Hawaii of Canada.

Claire Pepper So sorry for the passing of your mother and mother-in-law, Rick and Laurie. I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared.
To Rick, Darrin, and Trudy, I was deeply sorry to hear of your mother’s passing, just as I was when your father passed in 2005. Working for your father at COE beginning in 1980 until 1988, I got to know them both quite well and benefited greatly by their generosity and the encouragement they gave to me during a difficult stage of my life. I remember your mom as ‘short and sweet’, a lovely woman who forgave easily and often, and maintained a loyal and tender heart toward those she loved. It is hard to imagine them both being gone and I am sure the years ahead will be filled with fond memories for each of you.
