sally tuckey I am not able to be present for Mrs. McCarter’s service on Friday and so I want to offer condolences to her family this way.
Our older two sons attended Forest Glen Pre-School in Cordova Bay in the late seventies and early eighties. I remember Pat as a kind and gentle person who cared for her charges in a loving way – just the qualities we were looking for, and found in her. I remember that she wrote letters to each child; I suppose it must have been letters of thanks for small gifts. I always appreciated acts such as this, as I knew that it meant she really did care for them. I knew, too, that the teacher in her wanted to show how important it is in this world to say Thank You.
Our son David has just become a parent himself; I wish him success in finding, when the time comes, as caring a person for his new son as we had for ours.
Sincerely, Sally Tuckey
