Marjorie died peacefully on March 10 2024 in Victoria B.C. She was born on January 18, 1931 in Lanark Twp., Ontario. Predeceased by her husband Basil in 2016, and daughter Debbie on January 10 2024. Marjorie is survived by her son James (Mae); grandchildren, Jesse Gage-Cole, Tyler (Tanya) Beach, Jennifer (Daniel) Laverick and great grandchildren, Logan and Alexis Laverick. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Marjorie and Basil married June 25th 1949 and spent 23 years in the military. After his retirement they moved to Victoria in 1976. Marjorie worked in admitting at Royal Jubilee hospital and Basil at Oak Bay Lodge. After they retired again they moved to Saanichton. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cards with friends and curling.
A Celebration of Marjorie’s Life, will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC, on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
