We are sad to announce the passing of our mom Maria. Mom was born in Campo di Giove Abruzzo, Italy. She immigrated to Canada to join our father in 1960.

Maria was predeceased by her husband Raffaele Di Camillo (2006). She is survived by her daughter Florinda, son Vince and nieces and nephews in Italy, Venezuela, USA and Australia.

Mom was the most caring person one would hope to meet. She will be truly missed by all. The world is a better place because of her life in it. She will be lovingly remembered by all who were privileged enough to have known her.

A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday May 28, 2021 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, by Celebrant Father Alfredo Monacelli, with Interment to follow at the Royal Oak Burial Park. Those wishing to attend the Graveside Service, please contact the family for information, due to the Covid Restrictions.

In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

I can still remember your Mom living on Lavender Avenue when I was in Grade 7. She would be at the kitchen sink turning her tomatoes into sauce. Although she did not at the time speak English nor I Italian, her warm smile and occasional tweek on my cheek told me of her loving heart.
Hugs to you Florinda and your family.

Florinda and Vince, I am so sad to know of your mother’s death. I reeally liked her and enjoyed talking to her at the church. She was a grand lady and she seemed to always have a lot of energy. May God have her soul.
