De Melo, Maria da Estrela – Passed away suddenly on August 3, 2008 in the comfort of her home and in the company of her husband, Antonio and her daughter, Lina. She left this earth at the age of 89 and her memory will be cherished by her husband, Antonio; her son, Anthony; her daughter, Lina; her two grandchildren, Johanne and Eric Rufiange and her two sons-in-law Jim Ernst and Real Rufiange. She was predeceased by her eldest child, Marie Rufiange and her infant child Gracina.
Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday August 7th at Our Lady of Fatima Church located at 4635 Elk Lake Drive, Victoria. A bi-lingual (English/Portuguese) funeral service will be held on Friday August 8th at 11:00 am also at Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by interment at Royal Oak Burial Park. If friends so desire, a donation in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity in support of the poor children of the world. She was well loved and will always be in our thoughts and our hearts.
