Born on March 1, 1938 in Ashcroft, B.C., Jean chose a beautiful July afternoon to pass away peacefully. Predeceased by parents, Peggy and Lyndon Massey; ex-husband Vic Wescott (2017); daughter, Judy Lyn (2022) and many cats, dogs, and rescues. She leaves her friends with fond memories of better days. Jean was a multi sport athlete. She excelled as a City Champion Badminton player and Provincial level golfer. Jean’s working career began at the Royal Colwood Golf Course Pro Shop as an assistant to Professional Bill Court. Later, she moved on to the Bank of Montreal and the Oak Bay Marine Group. She was a courageous woman with a wicked sense of humour. Jean left us as she lived her life. She did it her way.
There will be no service, as per Jean’s request, but please raise a glass to our Jean and to all the good times we shared. She will be missed.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Deanna Oh, Jean, I very much hope you are at peace.
I spent quite a bit of time with Judy back in the day- and you too, & you were the undisputed Queen to all of us. Independent, accomplished, funny, loving, and kind of fierce. May you & Judy be reunited in mischief for all times. My condolences to your family, much love to you, xo
