Steve and Dee Village Dear Charlie, Erika, Charlie and Stephanie,
Magdi was a truly warm and caring woman , who never let her own troubles get in the way of her outgoing and cheerful greetings and smiles to those she loved. We never knew Magdi to show bitterness or speak unkind words of anyone. She was genuine, and unjudgemental. Magdi’s strong character and lifes lessons will always be an inspiration and through her children never forgotten. Magdi will be very dearly missed, but always remembered in our hearts. Goodbye to our Sweet Angel.

Karen Smith Mrs. Kovacs was unfailingly kind and personable to me as a customer at the Zeller’s pharmacy. She always greeted me with my name and a solicitous smile, a fact that I really appreciated as my husband got increasingly sickened with cancer. I am so sorry that this kind lady was stricken with the same affliction. My sympathy to her husband and family.
Sincerely,
Karen Smith

Kathleen Rafferty I was shocked to see Magdi’s smile on the obituary page yesterday. I am so sorry. I first met Mrs. Kovacs when she was a parent of wonderful children at what was then Lansdowne Jr. Secondary School. Always supportive, always positive, she was a person to be welcomed and valued. After I retired, there she was at the pharmacy, greeting me by name after so many years. People like her affect us in ways we may not realize. She was a light and a model of kindness and generosity of spirit. My sincere condolences to all her family. Please know you are not the only ones who will miss her.

Jim & Irene Owen Dear Charlie & Family: You don’t know us, but Magdi did, & always refered to us by name when we picked up our prescriptions. We often commented on how pleasant it was to be greeted by Magdi. She was always so cheerful & friendly, & we know she will be missed by everyone who was a customer. We had no idea that she was ill, so we were shocked to read about her passing in the paper. Please accept our deepest sympathy. Sincerely Jim & Irene Owen

Libral, Tara, Hazen & Vienna Furtado Dear Charles and Stephanie,
We are so very sorry to hear about the loss of your Beloved Mom (and mother in law) – when I heard the news, my heart broke for you, and although I never met your mother, having just lost my dear father-in-law, it really hit close to home and to our hearts. Treasure your memories, they are what keeps her legacy alive, and continue to celebrate special days of her life, as they will keep her near and dear to your hearts. These days will seem heavy and deeply sad, but time heals hearts, and although that may seem impossible at the very moment, find trust and comfort that one day, you will feel lighter. She’ll be your Guardian Angel and may she visit you all in your Peaceful dreams.
All our love and deepest Condolences,
The Furtado’s ~ Tara, Libral, Hazen & ViennaPlease pass on our heartfelt Sympathies to your Father and to the rest of your family. xoxo

Oleen Dunbar I have been a customer of Magdis forever. When I noticed she was not around, and asked about her, I was told she was taking a break. I did not think that sounded like her. I continued to ask when she would be back and was eventually told she had retired. I then sent her a card saying Happy Retirement. Today in the paper I see where she has retired to. She was, and is, an angel. I didn’t get to say goodbye. So, goodbye lovely angel lady.
