It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Lynn Ann Pollard (Constable) on October 6, 2018. Lynn is survived by her husband Hugh, son Sean and his wife Ariana, sister Teresa and her husband Greg and brother Pat. Predeceased by her Dad, Mom, Buster and Max, who will be overjoyed to see her again.
Born and raised in the Victoria area, she was very involved in the local bowling and softball leagues. She was known for being able to throw a ball with a ton of steam. An avid animal lover, when she was growing up, she often had the neighborhood strays follow her home.
Her passions were her home and family. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially tending to her flowers, looking after the animals that frequented the backyard, camping and of course fishing. The trophies that she displayed were a testament to her fishing abilities (as well as her bragging rights to husband Hugh). She was so lucky she even found a $50 bill floating in the water one day!!
Lynn loved her family, and we all loved her dearly in return. Lynn will be missed by all. At her request, there will be no service and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC SPCA https://spca.bc.ca/locations/victoria/donate
May Lynn bring us all luck on the water.
Condolences may be offered below.

greg To Lynn:
May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind always be at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face, and
May the rains fall softly upon your fields…
And until we meeet again,
May God keep you in the palm of his hand.
Love you

John Joly I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Hugh and Sean over Lynn’s sudden and tragic passing.
Our boat club will remember her exceptional contributions to our membership administration and recreational activities. Moreover, she was one of our most successful anglers, and a frequent derby draw prize winner. And she was a good friend to all.
Memories of Lynn will live on in our hearts and minds. We admired her and we will miss her.

Dan Morgan What do we say about a lady who lived life to the fullest other than she is in a happier place now. I had the privilege of knowing Lynn for the past ten years of life and always she had a smile on her face that is what i will miss her smile
Along with a wealth of fishing knowledge that she was never afraid of sharing. The one thing that amazed me about Lynn is she always was there to lean a helping hand. At this time i would like to say we have lost a great person in the club but more so a great person too.
I am sure she will be looking down at us and saying things like your using the wrong lure or your not going to catch a fish that close to the rocks or something along those lines but let us remember her the way she was a kind generous person who lived life to the fullest.
I am truly in shock to this day knowing that she is gone but never forgotten. But now Lynn can rest easy with the solace that she had brought so much joy into everyone who ever knew her. And my condolences go out to her immediate family of Hugh, Sean, Terri and Pat, with this i will say goodbye to friend.
you will be missed Lynn…….

Vicki I’m so sorry. I will miss Lynn as my cheerful – and helpful – neighbour.

Kathryn and Steve To Hugh, Sean, Terri and Pat, so sorry for your loss, our sincerest condolences. Lynn was a bright light with a warm smile and always willing to lend a helping hand. I’ll always cherish the childhood memory of the game playing in the “tripping grass” with Riley (pet dog) when we were just kids. When your heart is empty, filling it with happy memories can help you find your smile.

Cal Foss Grant and I will miss Lynn even though our chances of winning something on derby day have significantly increased.

Ed & Nickie Ruffle Hugh, I am in shock. I just opened my e-mail tonight at 9:00 and read about Lyn. I saw you today at the compound and it made me feel bad because I never gave you any condolences, I didn’t know. Nickie can’t believe it either. We are so sorry and sad for you. We also feel sorry for your family. God Bless

Chantelle I’m good friends with Lynn’s son. He often talked about her and I met her once at his wedding. She was a lovely person full of energy and fun to be around. It was obvious how much she loved her family. It is with deep sadness that I offer my condolences. I send all my love and support to the family in their time of sorrow. May she live on in their hearts always. Rest in Peace Lynn.
June 23, Happy Birthday Lynn.
