Passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024 in Victoria B.C. She was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan in September 1945. Lynn is predeceased by her husband Barry Wright and her son Douglas. She is survived by her sister Sharon, brother Rob, daughter Michelle, son-in-law Brent and grandsons, Ashley and James.

As a young woman Lynn worked at the Memorial Arena in the concession and sharpening skates. She was also a member of the girl’s hockey team. Lynn became a hairdresser around the age of 18 and had a successful career for over 50 years, owning her own hair salon in Oak Bay for many years. Lynn especially enjoyed the social aspect of this work and developed many lifelong friendships along the way.

In 1966 Lynn was wed to her first husband Robert and quickly became an active member of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, often volunteering for committees and events. Lynn enjoyed boating and the many social events at the club and has remained a member since.

In 1986 Lynn married Barry, her forever love, and continued to enjoy boating, spending time with family and friends, as well as gardening. Lynn’s flower gardens were second to none and this became a big passion of hers later in life.

Lynn was a lively, optimistic and caring person, who loved people, celebrations and had a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Lynn’s life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 2pm to 5pm at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, 3475 Ripon Rd. Victoria, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency.
