With shock & sadness, Lloyd’s family announces his passing on Sunday, August 23rd with his wife and children by his side.
Born & raised in Victoria, an Esquimalt brat, Lloyd was predeceased by his parents John & Doris; brother John (Jack); sisters Doreen Hodges & Helen Dixon.
Survived by his loving wife & soul mate of fifty years, Margo (Morrison); beloved children John (Lisa) & Andrea (Bryan); adored & cherished grandchildren, Renton, Johnny, Sadie & Claire; brothers David (Judy), Robert (Shirley) & Phil; sister-in-law Pam Marchand (Bob) and numerous nieces & nephews. Lloyd retired from the CRA in 2009 after 23 years of service and took up gardening as a hobby at the Agnes St Gardens. He was known for his prize Walla Walla onions, loving to share with all.
He was a well-known sports figure in many ways, but mainly with the Victoria Shamrocks Organization. As the GM he helped them to three Mann Cup Titles, 6 WLA championships, named twice WLA Executive of the Year, BCLA Manager of the Year and Victoria Sportsman of the Year in 2003. The list goes on & on.
Lloyd you were loved more than you ever knew by family, friends, neighbours and gardeners.
Rest In Peace, my love.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family gathering will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Susan Chudleigh Margo and Family,
So very sad to hear of Lloyds passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to you Margo and the family. I met Lloyd and Margo at the Victoria Shamrocks games. Since moving to the Q Centre we all sat in the same section with so many great fans, I especially loved my chats with Lloyd before every game and through many intermissions at his spot outside the Q Centre. He was a true people person and oh so many fans and friends would stop and chat while Lloyd held court I learned a lot by listening to the lacrosse banter and oh so many laughs. Shamrock games won’t be the same without Lloyd there, I will truly miss Lloyd and want to thank him for all he’s done for the Shamrock Lacrosse teams over the years RIP Friend, Sue

Lynn Baber I was so sad to read of Lloyd’s sudden passing. He was a great neighbour when I lived on Broadway and I loved his flower garden. Even though we lost touch after I moved from the complex, I still missed his great smile and bag of fresh produce often left on my doorstep! Condolences to Margo and family.

Dear Margo;
I was very saddened to learn of Lloyd’s passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. With Lloyd’s dedication and encouragement, combined with his team building and coaching skills he brought together a diverse if not disparate group of Esquimalt teenage girls to develop one of the best, if not best, Jr. Women’s Softball Teams in the League. I’ll never forget when you came to one of our practices and quietly revealed that you and Lloyd were engaged!
Sincerely,
Jodie M. Wilson
