Born on August 29, 1922 in Avonmore, Ontario. Passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospice on Wednesday, October 1st 2008. Predeceased by her husband Earle; son, Robert (Rob) and sister, Ruby Recoskie. Survived in Ontario by her brother-in-law, Phil Recoskie and nieces and nephew, Marian, Marilyn, Dolores and Gregg. She will be remembered by her many kind and caring friends here in Victoria for her warm and generous spirit and wonderful sense of fun.
Visitation was held at McCall Bros., Vancouver & Johnson Sts., on Monday, October 6, 2008, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. A Funeral Service was held at St. Matthias Anglican Church, 600 Richmond Avenue, Victoria BC, on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 11:00 am. Reception followed at the Church Hall.
A Graveside Service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements in Ottawa entrusted to Tubman Funeral Home (613) 722-6559.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 750 Hillside Avenue, Victoria BC, V8T 1Z4.
