Lai Kuen was born on November 2, 1934 in Hoi Ping, Canton. She passed away peacefully on August 31, 2021 in Victoria, BC, surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her husband, Kuo Geng Chan. She will be greatly missed by her 5 children and their spouses – Anna (Peter), George (Janette), Lisa (Tomson), Tina (Brian) and David (Carol); her grandchildren – Matthew, Daniel (Yao), Stephanie (Eric), Esther, Lillian, Philip (Winnie), Silas (Crystal), Joshua; and her great grandchild – Abigail. She will be remembered for her dedication to family, skillful cooking, love of music and contagious laughter.
A Funeral Service was held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM. A recording of the service can be found below.
