It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Karl Bruce Babin at the age of 58 on January 25, 2020 in Victoria, BC.

Karl was born on October 3, 1961 in Bathurst, NB and is predeceased by his parents Doris and James Babin.

Karl is survived by his brother Gary (Tonia) Babin from Wolfville, NS, along with Aunt Tina Ferguson, Uncle Cletus and Aunt Flora Doucet as well as several cousins.

Passion

Karl enjoyed his many years employed with Reliable Controls in Victoria where he was well respected and liked by his co-workers.

Many will remember Karl as a kind and gentle spirit with his passion and love of music.

Karl started his enthusiasm for music at an early age in Edmundston, NB. This was shared with many friends and continued throughout the years collaborating and creating his music. Karl was an excellent drummer and guitar player.

He loved going to concerts and seeing the music greats that he loved and respected.

We are comforted by the music he created and left behind for us to enjoy.

Enthusiasm

There will be no service at this time, Karl will be buried alongside his parents and Aunt Agnes Doucet in Bathurst, NB.

Karl,I miss you with all my heart. There is so much I wanted to say to you and wish I’d had the opportunity to thank you, for making me the person I am today.

I strived to be patient, tolerable, understanding, sincere, grateful, respectful, and most of all helpful to others. Those are all the strong character traits you bestowed onto me and am forever grateful for yours, as well as Mom & Dad’s teachings.

I often thought of you, through the years. I like to believe that I grew to be someone you’d been proud of.

I will always love and miss you. You will always have a special place in my heart. Hopefully we’ll get together and share some happy, loving memories. Until then, please keep Mom & Dad close and watch over Gary & Tonia, keeping them safe.

    Gary and Tonia, my condolences.

Take comfort in all the wonderful memories Karl left for you to hold close, share, and always remember him by. They will always be a warm, embracing, comfort, that’ll keep you smiling for years to come.

    Love Always & Forever,
    Dee Dee

I feel privileged to have had Karl as a neighbour for many years. While working in the yard, I benefitted from his enthusiastic drumming. He always willingly and helpfully assisted with outdoor tasks challenging to me. Karl shared his love of music at neighbourhood get togethers. A kind gentle thoughtful man, I am saddened by his sudden passing and miss him yet will not forget him.
    Sincerely, Marilyn
