Judy Gatto, 80, passed away in Saanich, B.C. on November 13, 2021 after suffering from dementia. Judy lived a long and happy life and was blessed with many friends and family.
Following her service as a professional social worker at City of Calgary Children’s Aid, Judy spent decades as the Manager of Special Projects for the Agristar Corporation.
Judy is survived by her devoted husband (Frank) of 58 years. She was blessed with two wonderful sons, (James) and (Jon) and her wonderful daughters-in-law, (Karen) and (Rene).

Uncle Frank and family,
Over the past few years out of curiosity I would search to see if I could glean any info on where everyone from my little world blew in the wind. One of those missing has been Aunt Judy. She was such a cornerstone of my life, and for so many years a steady rock for my mom, Sandra. Judy taught me to not put up with any grief, know my worth, and to stand up for myself. I know the grown-up friendships fell apart later on, but know that as a kid that those trips to Arizona meant the world.
They say someone never really dies until their name is spoken for the last time, and I promise you, we’ll be telling stories about Judy forever. I hope she and my mom are somewhere in the universe reconnecting over a bottle of wine or taking a heavenly shopping trip.
