Our beautiful sister Judy slipped away of natural causes on September 12, 2021, within days of her 79th birthday, at home in Victoria, BC. She was born to William Melville Wood and June Katherine (Edmison) Wood in Toronto. In the 1950’s she attended private schools in London England and Denmark before returning to Victoria for high school. It was there that she met her lifelong friend Dana Bourne. She later attended Brown University for a PhD in Linguistics.
She is predeceased by her beloved brother Mark Taylor. She is survived by her son, Matthew Blaylock and granddaughter Emmie, her siblings Bill Wood (Toronto), John Wood (London, England), Jillian Taylor (London, England), Jeremy Taylor (Vancouver), Patti O’Leary (Ottawa).
She will be missed by all who knew her. She charmed everyone with her beauty, humour, charm, listening skills and her Danish happy gene.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1:00 pm.

Donna Wood Judy brought joy and a great smile everywhere she went. A stranger wouldn’t be a stranger for long, always a loyal friend. I feel very lucky to have enjoyed time with her. Remembering will be easy. She will be missed.
Thinking of all in this time of sadness.
