Jose passed away peacefully at the RJH in Victoria BC on December 1, 2023. He was born in Galicia, Spain on November 13, 1943. He will be deeply missed by his wife Juana of 55 years, his son Carlos (Susan), and daughter Maria (Domingo). He was a very proud grandfather to Joel, Pauline, Sofia and Lucas. Jose immigrated to Victoria from Spain with his young family in 1976. He worked as a skilled stone mason, had a great talent for woodworking, and was an amazing chef. We will miss his quick wit and sense of humour. His greatest joy was fishing in the local waters of Brentwood Bay and Pedder Bay and bringing home his catch for everyone to share.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday January 5, 2024 at 12 noon at St. Patrick’s Parish, 2060 Haultain Street, Victoria, BC. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
