In compliance with Gordon’s wishes and in the presence of his closest friends and family members, Gordon was administered end of life by MAID on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023, ending his perseverance fighting Lewy Body Dementia.

Gordon will always be remembered by friends and family for the twinkle in his eye, his sense of humour, his gifts with words and languages and being able to fix almost anything.  And with a cup of coffee in his hand, either talking politics or doing the cryptic crossword.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

    Dear Elsie,

I, too, send my deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your family.

Like many others, I enjoyed regular chats and laughs with Gordon at Sissiboo. We all remember him fondly for his quiet sense of humour, twinkle in his eye and genuine warmth.

You are both much missed and not forgotten at King’s Theatre where the back deck remains a splendid example of your generous volunteering in the community.

I have wonderful memories of shared choir practice time with ‘Gordon at St. Luke’s
when we would drive poor Elsie to distraction with our puns and playing with words. His beautiful Bass voice was a gift he shared too. He and his family are in my prayers as you go on with only his loving memories to keep you company. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
