BUNKER, John Charles At home, another of the Greatest Generation, our Uncle Jack, on September 11th, 2007. A native son of this city, born December 6th, 1919. He was a great sportsman as a youth, and with good friends had fun even during the Depression. He joined up immediately for WWII, serving with the Princess Pats in tanks with Montgomery through N. Africa, Sicily and the Italian campaigns. Following the war, he started a long career with Canada Post, retiring as a Postmaster. Predeceased by his beloved wife, June, mother Ellen and sisters Betty and Flo. He is survived by youngest sister Molly and many loving nephews, nieces, godchildren, and friends. Uncle Jack was our Pater Familias, a kind and supportive confidante who will be greatly missed. Together, the Snowbirds are on the road again. Goodbye to a gentleman. No service by request,
