It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on August 26, 2022. Born in Regina, SK on July 27, 1928, she moved to Victoria, BC in 1946 with her parents, where she met and married Robert (Bob) Lymbery in 1950. They were married for 60 years, before his passing in 2010. Jean leaves behind her children, Scott (Susan), daughter Lesley, grandsons Graeme, Timothy (Stephanie) and great-granddaughter Hannah. Jean worked for many years in office administration before retiring in 1993 from Glenoak Ford Sales. She loved her home and garden, being near the ocean, reading, cats, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her children. Many thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at the RJH.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Sheila Alexander Scott and Lesley,
I have so many fond memories of visits with your mum, who I thought of as my “cool” aunt – her beautiful garden and immaculate home, her wonderful baking, and great conversations. I always appreciated her newsy cards and phone calls over the years in which she would proudly fill me in on what you were up to. My love and heartfelt condolences to you both.

Ross Porter Hi Scott
So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. As both Donna and Caroline mentioned she was a gentle soul and an elegant lady. She was a part of the Cumberland / Reynolds fabric growing up in the 50’s and 60’s.
Kindest regards,
Ross Porter

Donna Van Gylswyk (Janes) Scott and Leslie I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I have such fond memories of growing up with your mom and your dad as our neighbours.
I remember the true passion she displayed in caring for her house and garden and I loved seeing the washing on the line on laundry day. I think that is why I still enjoy using the clothesline myself. Bon Ami on the windows every week made them sparkle in the sunlight. Your mom made the best sugar cookies and I always was happy when we got called in for a snack after playing for hours outside in the playground or on the big rock. I also remember the unique birthday cakes she made which contained wrapped coins inside which delighted all the birthday party guests.
Your mom always looked amazing and had such style. She was a remarkable woman and I am glad that she was part of my life growing up.
My sincerest condolences to both you and your families as you go through this sad time. She will be missed.

Jackie Lesley, I am sorry to read of your Mom’s passing. We had a few good long chats on the phone over the years and I was always to happy to give her a jar of jam. Sincere sympathy to you and your brother.

David Law Lesley and Scott, sad to hear of your moms passing. As she was my Godmother I always felt a connection to her. She had a long life and was always interesting to chat with. It seemed an ironic twist when we purchased our house not far from your parents place. I was amazed to see she could move about as well as she did for so long and kept driving her little blue car.
Hopefully her passing was peaceful.

Caroline Hudson Scott & Lesley – Very sorry to hear of your Mum’s passing. I have such fond memories of her as a neighbour. An elegant and lovely, gentle woman. Passionate about her garden which was always so beautiful. I can remember her painstakingly putting newspaper “sunhats” on her begonias! She will be missed in the Cumberland Road area having been such a longtime resident. You are fortunate to have had her for 94 years. All the best to you both. Caroline x
