Jean passed away Sunday August 21, 2011 at Mount Edward Court, Victoria, BC. She was born in Prince Rupert, BC October 10, 1917 and is survived by Glen, her loving husband of 65 years. Predeceased by her only son Roger in 2005. Jean was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing Class of 1941. She was so loved and will be so missed by her family and by the many dear and special friends she lovingly ‘gathered’ along her way.

Sister-in-law, Marjorie Murray, Annie Hutchinson & her children; son Roger Hutchinson; daughter Faye Taylor & husband Bob & family all of Nova Scotia; nieces, Heather Larow& husband Dale & their children; daughter, Jennifer & family; son, Bill Larow of Massachusetts, Marilyn Dumas & husband Bob of Florida, Kathy Ellis & husband Carson & family of Nova Scotia, Joan Murray of Nova Scotia & daughter Paula of Kelowna, BC; nephews, Gregor Cowell of Brazil & daughters, Joy Cowell, Fawn Cowell of Victoria, BC & Jasmine Cowell of Brazil, Glen Hutchinson of New Jersey. Also, Rose Byrne & husband Ed & their daughter Sheila Dobie, husband Nathan & their children Grace & Angus. Son Michael Byrne & his daughter Camille Byrne all of Sooke, BC.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held Monday – August 29th – 2PM at MCCALL’S FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1400 Vancouver Street at Johnson, Victoria, BC. In lieu of flowers, a donation to
Victoria Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation, 1952 Bay Street, Victoria, BC V8R 1J8 in Jean’s memory would be appreciated.
