Dear Sonia, Sara and family – Please accept my deepest condolences. I still remember a golf trip to Stratford with Tom and your mother graciously letting me stay overnight at your house. My golf scores are forgettable but I still fondly recall the morning flying by as I spent the morning easily talking with your mother. My sympathies and best wishes as you both move ahead through this difficult time.

Dear Sonia & Sara, my deepest sympathy for your loss. I have such lovely memories of your mother, summers in the lake at Bayfield and visiting at your home and Silver Lake, and traveling to Finland. She always made me feel welcome, wherever we happened to be, even when I was trailing around behind her at her wedding reception trying to pick up her train. I’m so grateful to have had such a lovely lady in my life. Rest In Peace, my dear Aunt Janet.
Sending love and peace to my dear cousins and family. ❤️

Dearest Janet….my cousin but really more my sister! We grew up with our mothers keeping our families close, despite living in Windsor and Detroit. Sunday dinners every or every other weekend and our glorious summer vacations at our cherished Silver Lake! Then there was our first trip out of country to Europe on that ski charter (we were’t skiers but knew a bargain when we saw one!), and our families saw us off at Detroit Metro Airport complete with corsages! What an eye opener that first European trip was for both of us!!! The start of a lifelong enjoyment of travel and adventure! So many stories have been bubbling up since Bill called me to tell me of your passing! I love you, dear heart, always and forever!

Holding you all in my heart right now. I smiled reading the above because I think of her every spring when I’m tidying up my own gardens. They will never stack up to her beautiful oasis and the sweet little play nook she had.
I will remember Aunt Janet fondly. Her love of travel, gardening, and really good food. Lots of love your way.
