PAINTER, James (Jim) Edward – Suddenly with his family at his side, passed away at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on February 10, 2004. Predeceased by his parents, James and Nellie (nee Massey) Painter, he leaves to mourn his loving wife, Wendy; his daughter, Lisa (Alan) Cragg and granddaughter, Breanna; son, Jim Jr. (Tanya); his former wife, Sharon (Dave) McClelland; sister, Barbara (Peter); his in-laws, John and Nancy Linnell; brother-in-law, Stu (Lisa); “adopted daughter,” Alison Chow; as well as extended family and many good friends.
Jim was born on June 9, 1938 and was very proud to be a fifth generation native Victorian.
He worked for the Ministry of Forest for 22 years and in 1975 jumped in with both feet into the car business which he made a success of. Jim continued to work at the job he loved right up to the day before he died.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at McCALL BROS. CHAPELS, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Thursday, February 12, 2004 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel on Friday, February 13, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the Graham and Torrey McCall Family Centre. Those who wish may remember Jim with flowers.
