She is survived by her loving husband, Joe; their children, Ron (Sheila) Lambert, Debbie (Dave) Kyte; grandchildren Glenn (Jenni) Lambert, Dean (Trisha) Lambert, Stephen (Deanna) Kyte, Jennifer (Jonathan) Cobham, Lisa Kyte, Sharon Kyte and great-grandchildren Alanna, Cody, Joshua, Kate-lynn, Faith, Heather, Jason and Logan.
Irene met Joe during the uncertainty of a world at war. They fell in love and for over 63 years they remained inseparable. While many of their generation became content with the quiet of home life, the youth of Irene and Joe took them throughout three countries on their ever famous "Grandma and Grandpa" road trips.
The eyes of the young girl that sparkled with love for her sweet Joe continued to shine as a beacon through her 82nd year.
She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her family, friends and all those lives she blessed.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at Oaklands Chapel, 2736 Fernwood Road, on Friday, November 7th at 1:00 p.m.
