Ian – (aka Lynky and Ianardo Delynchie) suffered a fatal heart attack on Sunday. Predeceased by parents Jeannette and William Lynch and brother Denis. He leaves behind siblings Lynda McKinney (Jim), Glen Lynch, Donna Lynch, nieces Colette Lynch, and Brooke Sackett, nephews Grant and Paul McKinney, many Lynch and Kissinger cousins and hundreds of friends.

Ian was many things in life, a pipe shop worker, a screen printer, a motorcycle artist, a news shop owner and a furnace repair man. He could fix anything and built his own Chopper Trike many years back. But his biggest accomplishments were making people laugh, being a trivia expert and gathering the largest group of friends a person could have. “If a good life is measured in friends – this man won”.

There is a little less laughter in Victoria now. We will have a celebration of life as soon as we are allowed to have lots of people together in the yard at the family home – and we expect stories.

In lieu of flowers, just brighten someone’s day as Ian did anytime you were around him.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

To the Lynch family, I am so very sorry.

In the seventies I played soft ball on team Market Square News. Not a lot of wins but great fun and friendships resulted. Ian was one of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure of knowing.: kind, funny generous and a true blue friend to anyone who knew him. He will be truly missed by his many, many friends and aquaintance.

Hi met Ian in my 20’s when I joined a ladies fastball team that he coached. I have a lot of great memories of that time. Ian was a very kind and patient man especially to put up with all of us. My condolences to the family. RIP Ian

    Donna,
I’m so very sad to hear of Ian’s passing. Whenever I bumped into Ian it truly made my day, I always left laughing and had a much better day because of it. One memory I will cherish always is when my sister Jo-Ann and I went to Hawaii and our brother Peter and Ian joined us there. Ian’s feet were so swollen from siting in the sun and said ,”what do you expect they’ve never seen sunlight”. That week was full of laughter and oh so many cherished memories. I look forward to Ian’s celebration of Life as there is so much to celebrate. Victoria just feels a little lonelier knowing he’s not hear to brighten any day you were lucky enough to bump into him. I will cherish my many memories of Ian always.
Love to the Lynch Family, Sue Chudleigh
