The family is saddened to announce the passing of Helma, who died peacefully at the age of 90. Helma came to Canada in 1949 where she met and married her husband Adam, who passed in 2017. Together they built a successful retail business and raised four children, Erhardt, Rosemarie, Rudy and Norbert. She recently completed a private memoir of her life growing up in Yugoslavia. Helma was fiercely devoted to her family her entire life. She was “Mom” and “Mutti” to us and “Tante Helma” to her many nieces and nephews. Her friends in the neighborhood were a joy to her and continue to be a great support to her family. Special thanks to Bill and Claudia Petersmeyer.
