Passed away peacefully, to rejoin her late husband, Alan. Born in Montreal, predeceased by parents Jean-Charles Otis and Violet Barnes Otis, and sister Dolores.
Hélène is survived by her dear children Adrian (Gabrielle), Byron (Emily), Pierre (Nicole), and grandchildren Jody, Drew, Tahlia, Lawson, Skyla, Katherine, Geneviève, Maeve, and Baxter.
Employed as a Secretary mostly in Public Service. But above all, Hélène enjoyed quiet times with her family, music, reading, and quiet walks.
Helene will be buried next to Alan surrounded by her sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren on July 7, 2022. A mass for her intentions will be held at St. Andrews Cathedral in Victoria, BC on June 11, 2023, 5:00pm, 685 Blanchard Street, Victoria, BC on the 1st year anniversary of her passing.

Melanie Meyer My life has been so blessed to have known her and the children that she and Alan cherished. After I moved overseas, I did not see her as much but when I did it was always the same. She made feel special and loved at each visit. Words fail me to say how deeply I respected her. I will remember how her voice was filled with music. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Smith.
