Hedviges Rosario Pacheco passed away on July 25, 2024, at VGH, surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by husband, Jose & granddaughter, Hilary. She leaves behind to mourn her children: Gorette (Louis), Joe, Wendy (Marcelo) & grandchildren: Matthew, Ivonette (Sean), Ashley, Samuel & Talon. She was the strong matriarch of this family and will be deeply missed. She was born Jan 15, 1932, in Ponta Garca, Sao Miguel, Azores before immigrating to Canada in 1959 and was married in 1962. She was homemaker and took great pride in taking care of her 6 grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Holy Cross Church, 4049 Gordon Head Rd., at 11:00 am with a burial to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. In her memory donations can be made to the Victoria Heart Institute Foundation.
