Heather passed away after a sudden, unexpected illness on October 23, 2022, in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by her father Stephen, she is survived by her loving husband Rob, as well as her mother Hazel, and brothers, Graham (Allison) and Paul. She will be missed by many other relatives, cousins and friends.
Heather was born April 26, 1970 in Victoria, BC. Heather graduated from Spectrum School and attended an arts program at Camosun College, where she was able to express her imaginative spirit and incredible sense of humour through visual arts and writing. She continued with her artistic talents after she left school, often decorating windows for stores and fire halls over the holiday season. Those close to Heather will have witnessed her talents firsthand through her wonderfully unique sketches, comics and characters.
Heather met Rob in 1990 through her brother Paul which formed the spark for a loving, lifelong relationship, including a wonderful wedding celebration on Canada Day, 1999.
Heather had a compassionate and empathetic soul which inspired her to complete the Home Care Worker program and she spent her working career helping others and caring deeply for her clients.
A private Memorial Service was held October 30,2022.
The family wish to thank the doctors and nurses at Victoria General Hospital’s ICU who cared for Heather in her final days, especially Ann, one of the amazing nurses in the unit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

My deepest condolences to your whole family. I went to school with Heather and she was always kind and unique and confident in herself. She was a brilliant artist and I always wondered how she was doing and what she was up to. That’s what brought me here. Very sad but I’m so happy to hear she had a loving husband and family to see her through her life. Best and blessings to you all.
