Linda McLeod I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Gord for many years and knew him as kind, a good friend, always a smile and rarely a harsh word about anything. He will truly be missed and never forgotten.

Joy Weismiller Dear Shirley, Nancy, Ed, Grace, Vince, Mrs. Mew, Bill and Mike,
Our family thought the world of Gord. He was kind and generous. We always looked forward to his visits and enjoyed learning about his hand-crafted tools for harvesting fruit from high branches. Some of those tools were extra special because they had been passed down in the family – they were irreplaceable. When we travelled by ferry we always looked for Gord’s car. When we spotted it at the terminal we would head into the coffee shop with hopes that he might spot us and come down from the tower for a visit. We always enjoyed those impromptu visits.
Sincerely,
Joy and Paul W and family

Corinne Shepheard My deepest sympathy to all of you for the loss of a most lovely man. Gordon was my landlord for many years, and so kind and sweet natured. He was quick to drop by for a chat about the state of the plums, pick figs and peaches to take back to his mom, remove insects or rodents, and hang out for tea or a snack. He was calm and thoughtful, and had a keen sense of humour that I really appreciated. He will be missed and remembered.

Dear Mew Family,
We were saddened when we heard the news. So sorry for your loss. Please accept our deepest condolences.
I go downtown on my bicycle often, and sometimes the route takes me close to the Mew family house. One day in early spring of this year as I rode by, I saw him mowing the lawn and yes, trimming the rose bushes. We had a very nice chat, and this was the last time we saw each other.
Rest in Peace, Gordon Mew.
