Gordon slipped away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 5, 2021. The patriarch of his family will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Connie, as well as 6 living children and 1 special son, 18 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Roger in 2010.
Prior to his retirement years, Gordon worked as a marine electrician at the Naden Dockyard in Victoria, maintenance supervisor at the Bishop Cridge Center for the Family, and owner operator of Dry Way Carpet Care.
His passion was loving and teaching the word of God, which he did faithfully. He served as an elder in several Victoria churches: Westview Gospel Chapel, Western Community Baptist Church and Gateway Baptist Church, and also promoted the distribution of scripture worldwide.
His faith in a loving God, love of family and friends, generosity, wisdom, and endurance through many difficult chapters of life are his legacy. A Family celebration will be held at a future date.
Donations in his memory can be made to The Gideon’s International Canada, https://gideons.ca/give-today and Shareword Global https://sharewordglobal.com
