With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Giuseppe Loglisci on April 27, 2019 at the age of 91. Predeceased by his loving wife Maria Stella in 2015, Giuseppe is survived by his children Tony (Donna), Robert (Angelina), Paul (Corinne), and Lisa; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who knew him as Nonno Joe; brother and family in Taranto and Rome, Italy and many friends in Victoria.

Giuseppe was born in Taranto, Italy on December 7, 1927, and moved to Canada in  1950 with his young bride. His family was everything to him and he loved his children and their families so very much. Giuseppe was proud of his skill as an electrician and fondly remembered starting his apprenticeship in the Italian navy in Taranto, which at the time was home to the Italian navy fleet. While stationed in Rome, he met the love of his life, Maria Stella.

Many thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at The Heights at Mt. View, who lovingly referred to him as Poppa Joe.

In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of B.C.  https://alzheimer.ca/en/bc/Get-involved/Ways-to-donate

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, followed by burial at Royal Oak Cemetery.
